Ordering Oak Storage#

Thank you for your consideration of Oak storage! Whether you want to request a new Oak space, increase the quota of an existing space, or cancel your Oak service, you can do so by visiting our Oak Request Form (SUNet ID required)

Ordering new Oak space#

What kind of Oak space should I request?

Please see our table on the different types of Oak Filespace to help determine the Oak space that's right for you

Our Oak Request Form supports orders for new group and project space types. If you'd like to create a new Oak space for a school or org, please email us.

Increasing quotas#

Please use the Oak Request Form to submit a quota increase. For the most expedient turnaround, please add a comment to your request indicating the directory path of the space that you would like the quota increase to be applied to. E.g., /oak/stanford/groups/leland or /oak/stanford/projects/myproj.

Cancelling service#

Please use the Oak Request Form to submit an Oak cancellation.

Once your request to cancel Oak service has been received, we will work to close your space as soon as possible. Access all members of the affected Oak space on Oak will be removed effective immediately upon receipt of a cancellation request.

Oak Cancellation Purge Policy

As a reminder of our data retention policy, Oak storage is permanently purged after 60 days from the day service cancellation is requested.
